ELISE / SELFRIDGES / 2021

Elise was chosen to produce artwork for the scheme ‘SuperSelf’ which celebrated the practice of feeling our best through varying practices of self-care. As an artist known to find beauty and satisfaction in mundane, everyday forms, we felt her work resonated with the practice of ASMR. (Does this need further explanation)

Elise takes uncelebrated everyday elements and brings them together to create stunning, visceral sculptures. These are produced from a range of materials but finished in one to three colours so the viewer can really admire and lose themselves in the curious shapes. Her pieces at Selfridges were finished in white, so as to distract from the fluid pieces, and set in a light pink, flesh-like surround.
